Do Coach ratings effect gameplay?

Any opinions?

I've been using Puja's Test 5.0 roster, with my fantasy roster on the Chiefs (beefed up o-line, brought back J. Allen). Now when Dick Vermeil was still the coach I was quite accustomed to starting fast in games. But now with Herm Edwards as coach, who's ratings are only comparable to Dickie in terms of LDR and MOT but who's OFF rating is mediocre, I'm starting very slowly on offense (typically 3-and-out on my first possession) and having to pull the wins out of my butt in the 4th quarter. Exciting, sure, but frustrating given the talent on offense and even the home field advantage. I'm just wondering if my slow starts have been a matter of my playcalling or the coach ratings?

i belive the thing it helps the most is weekly preperation. Good coach's have an easier time making players rating go up in weekly preperations. I also think it may be taken into consideration for simming games and player progression.

I didnt test any effect on weekly prep, so that very well may be the case.

but again; No, none, ziltch, zero effect on simmed games or Progression.
