Settings for PS2/PS3

I picked up the game today from Gamestop for 99 cents!

Couple questions - I had this for my Xbox before I sold it, and never had any slowdown, but in the Playstation version there seems to be some significant slowdown after the ball is snapped. Is this normal?

Also what settings are people using to get the best experience graphics wise?

I notice switching progressive scan to ON gives the game quite a grainy feel.

I've also enabled upscaling and smoothing in the PS3 options.
