QB throwing motion

Is anyone else bothered by the QB throwing motion? I know we have an older game here, but I wonder why they went with more of a sidearm path. Am I missing something? Are you seeing any variability in motions? If so, which QB from what roster pack? I guess it's more noticeable in replays where you can tear everything down and analyze it.

Re: QB throwing motion

Yeah, they used a little too much side arm throwing on the game. I think it happens most when you try to bullet a pass. It's not a bad animation, but I think a more textbook overhead delivery would have looked better. The side arm animation looks spot on when David Carr, Philip Rivers, or Vince Young throw the ball though.

Ive never noticed, i always thought there were different motions for different QBs for example ive seen Tony Romo throw side arm but i never saw Quincy Carter side arm ever.

I think it would be good to know if there are differences from which we can build future created QB's since I don't know what attribute or feature would dictate that.

Re: QB throwing motion

I asked Finn about this & iirc provided him with examples of the sidearm QBs in my roster & the traditional style QBs to see if he could isolate the hidden attribute generating the throwing motion

i'll send him another batch & see what comes of it. i would imagine this is something he could crack since it's just a "one or the other" option

Re: QB throwing motion

Ive always thought NFL 2k5 had great passing animations compared to other football games Ive played. Its hard for me to fault, what I personally consider the best.
