Ok guys excuse me for being so late and 2K5 illerate but I had a question about the draft. Im through my second season in franchise and im using the original rosters and all that, but after the draft I watched the sportscenter draft review and Mel Kiper said I had a good draft. Did I really have a very good draft or was he just supposed to say that because it was my team???? I hadn't played a franchise since 2004/2005 so I can't remember if it was like that for other drafts

They never say I had a 'good' draft, it says I had an 'interesting' draft then he talks about which side of the ball I focused on. . . wow, you must be a helluva GM. . .Comment

I'm going to sound like an idiot here too, but,
What are some good tips on drafting in this game? I like how realistic it is, but it's hard to gauge what the game thinks the player is in relation to all the other players?
For example, madden has players listed in a "best available" format, while I don't think nfl 2k5 does.Comment

If you go to Rookie Report, the players are listed in best player order. I am really surprised people have positive things to say about 2K5's draft. The 1st round is horribly screwed up, in that only QB's RB's, DE's and T's are drafted. I think QB's either get drafted top 3 or not at all until the later rounds. Tackles won't get drafted before pick #6.
In order to get insight into the prospect player, use the combine. If you like drafting, take your time and go through the Rookie Report by player position. Keep in mind that the Halfback, Tackle and Defensive End pool of good players will be very thin thanks to the draft glitch.
I use Finn's Editor to allow me to control all teams at draft time. I really make all teams significantly better this way. Before I did this there were teams with defenses not even registering on the head-to-head showing. Teams couldn't run AND throw the ball well. They had terrible Offensive Lines with players who could either runn block or pass block, but not both. A pass block rating of 82 and a run block rating of 43.
