Passing to Running Backs

does anyone else have problems passing to backs out of the backfield? The one i have the most trouble with is the swing route where the back heads into the flats and then sorta up the sideline. Most of the time the pass in the flats sails out wide or behind the back, who doesn't properly turn to catch the ball in stride. Other times the back will just catch it out of bounds.

Does anyone have any tips for this? Whats best, a lob pass or bullet? im guessing lob, but they get there kinda slow and usually gives a linebacker time to close in. Its kinda frustrating not to get backs more involved in a passing attack, but usually now i just send em on a streak up the middle. Anyone who uses say a brian westbrook or reggie bush manage to get them involved a lot? I use jamarcus and mcfadden, but maybe its cuz jamarcus' accuracy sucks haha.

Edit backs to increase run route and catching ability.

Lob the ball (tap the button instead of holding it down). Just make sure there are no LBs in the area or you'll watch them go the other way with it. HBs don't care for the bullet pass to the sidelines.

I play with raiders and have no problem with Jamarcus passing to backs out of the backfield. I agree with dophin lob pass works best

also use maximum passing. I havent played 2k5 in awhile, but i remember pressing down and lobbing it worked well.

Also, for screen passes, hot route the hb to go the the flat, so he wont turn around.

Thanks for this piece of advice. It will come in handy.

Re: Passing to Running Backs

Tail backs have to have around 70 as a minimum for the game to play better, catching and run route.
