360 transfer cable

I finally upgraded from ps2 to an xbox360, I would like to know if i purchase a transfer cable with software do I still need to download xplorer360. What would be easier calling microsoft and see if they would send me a transfer cable? Basically I would like to know what the easiest process is to transfer the rosters. Thx.

The disc that comes with the transfer cable is just for transferring everything from the 20GB hdd to the 120GB hdd, it can't be used for anything else. So yes, you still need to use xplorer360 or one of the other programs. I prefer xplorer360 myself, that's just my opinion, you may like something else. Either way it's a very simple process. It takes longer for me to remove my hdd, connect to PC, and move back to the 360 than it takes for me to transfer files to or from the 360's hdd. Very simple once you're familiar with the process.
