Franchise Help

I've had this game for about a year now, but I have yet to get deep into a Franchise mostly because I just screw around in practice mode for hours on end. Also because I've heard the Franchise mode is horrible, first is that true? And if it is true is there anyway to make it more enjoyable?

That really depends on what you heard. If you don't want "crazy" trades like guys that are starters being traded, you can make all teams human owned anf that eliminates all trades (unless you make 'em) and FA pick-ups as well. Draft logic is flawed, but acceptable in my book and if you just play one season, you don't have to worry about that.. PR depth charts get messed up, but that can be fixed in the editor if you don't want to see a linebacker / DE return the punts after a few weeks. (For this, you just back them up in the editor- a bitton lets you do it- and restore them whenever you need to.

I don't have a problem with it. It fun to play it out and let the cpu manage their own teams and see who they pick up/trade.

Man, I had this game for about a year and played about 10-15 exhibition games without really getting into franchise.

However, I noticed you can edit college prospects? I thought that was amazing and must have passed over this feature when I first simmed. Did any of you guys edit all of the prospects available? That is an incredible feature.
