(Human) Defensive back question

Has it ever been brought up why certain speedy db's cannot catch offensive players...At times it seems like switching into a linebacker gives you a better chance to hawk down the ball carrier. I have seen many times my 90+ speed DB get burnt and I dont like that.

Are there any solutions other than adjusting sliders?

Thanks for the response but Yeah it does...But I wanna is there a way to fix it without..is it coded for dbs to run slow as hell...This only occurs when there human controled btw when I switch off the cpu's run the players true speed. I wish we could somehow recode certain things in this game because there are seriously only a few things gameplay wise that hinder this game from being prett flawless considering its a videogame...

Just increase the human pursuit slider my man. and you Db's would hit the on the ball carrier.

thanks bro for the input but I do this sometimes...Nfl 2k5 always makes me question why? Its a really gay feeling getting burnt by reggie wayne when your neck and neck to begin with lol. I was thinking is there a technical reason why? I want to know if you can fix it without slider input

I think the moment you switch from the player your controlling to the player in pursuit, for a split second they slow down b/c you're not taping A as soon as you switch. Don't know if that makes sense or not

Nah thats not it..ive been playing this game since it came out experimenting with alot of things. I tried to see if it was just me not pressing it fast enough (All pro setting no change in pursuit). Trust me its not that...there are even times when I dont even switch I am originally in them... I would let the cpu just hawk them down but they seem to have the urge to dive prematurely and we all know about nfl 2k5's dive D: lol
