in order for my action replay to work do it need to be on a computer or can it be on a laptop because its not working on my laptop

Well a laptop is a computer (you walked right into that response) so no thats not the problem. Did you try searching for similar problems? I have a feeling you have vista or windows 7.

Search just vista in this forum and you should find info. I dont know the details(I have xp laptop still) but you have 2-3 more steps with vista and im not sure if it works with windows 7.
