The newer PS3's are not backwards compatible. Sony did away with B/C PS3.

I bought mine back in 2007, and it is B/C. (Luckily)

Sorry bro, unless you buy a used PS3 from E-Bay or something, you're outta luck.

1) There were no spelling errors in my post. The closest thing that you could argue would be that I didn't spell out the word "saying" fully. Offence is also a correct form of the same word "offense".

p.s. If you are not happy with your Christmas present, maybe you should have been more clear with your relative/friend as to which PS3 you were actually wanting. I am tired of people getting ****** at Sony b/c of the BC issue when they(the customer) didn't pay enough freakin' attention to what they were slapping $400-$600 on.

Ok, so your PS3 won't play 2K5. Don't fret, just pick up MLB The Show 09 (PS3 only game) and you won't regret your present. Trust me.....

About football-----well, all I can say is that Ian and crew are really trying to make Madden 10 finally surpass 2K5, so don't give up hope in that department.

Also, look around for more PS3 exclusive games. There's quite a few that'll show the graphical power of the PS3.
