Didn't 2K5 have Tandem Blocking?

I was responding to a question on the NCAA Forum, but I thought I remembered 2K5 having tandem blocking. I remember a comment about "it takes two lineman to block guys like Warren Sapp"

They they had tandem blocking. They innovated that along with the reach tackle, featured in APF 2k8.

If you had someone getting in the backfield too much they would start double teaming that player. Are you asking because Madden finally got it or something?

EA's NCAA game has it this year. The video example of it looks pretty cool. You can see a TE double team on a tackle and when he is tied up, he slips of to the LB. Pretty cool. Reminds me of the good ole days in the wing-t.

The part about defense that baffles me is when I see a DL and an OL doing the tango. One of those dudes should be on his back or on face. The good ole days make me day dream back to the NFL 2k6 video I saw on gamespot.com that got removed within 15 minutes of it being posted to the site. Soon after they took the video down, the announcement came that EA Sports bought the NFL license. EA Sports tore my heart out that day.

The exclusivity agreement was announced by Gamespot on December 13, 2004 (link). There's no way that Sega, 2K Sports, and Visual Concepts would have abandoned advertising of NFL 2K5 to promote any potential follow-up game before the 2004-05 NFL season had even concluded. No football game series has ever been advertised in such a manner.

Further, if any such video of NFL 2K6 existed, its existence would have been posted in this forum somewhere, particularly given how rabid the NFL2K fan base was prior to (based on rumors) and following the announcement of the exclusivity agreement, not to mention the general rivalry between the two games' fan bases on the merits of the games themselves. If you can dig any such link up, then forgive this, but I am not finding anything with a forum search and I have no recollection of such a video being posted.
