Lions Franchise-Default roster to present day

I have just completed my first season of my Detroit Lions franchise. I started with default rosters and will be using Finn’s editor to put in real draft classes taking me up to the present day NFL. I will have a draft recap after I am finished with it. I am controlling all 32 teams and will be drafting for each team by what I feel that team needs.

I thought I would give a recap of my season with stats and awards.

Detroit Lions 2004 Season

Week One at Chicago Det.24 Chicago 17
Week Two Det. 7 Houston 24
Week Three Det. 15 Philadelphia 30
Week Four Bye
Week Five at Atlanta Det. 27 Atlanta 17
Week Six Det. 20 Green Bay 13
Week Seven at NY Det. 17 NY Giants 0 (My only shutout of the season!)
Week Eight at Dallas Det. 24 Dallas 21
*Week Nine Det. 17 Washington 42
Week Ten at Jacksonville Det. 24 Jacksonville 19
Week Eleven at Minnesota Det. 26 Minnesota 24 (Last second FG from 47 to win!)
Week Twelve Det. 17 Indianapolis 31
Week Thirteen Det. 16 Arizona 59 (Worst game of the year)
Week Fourteen at Green Bay Det. 17 Green Bay 38
Week Fifteen Det. 34 Minnesota 28 (Put me in tie for 1st place in division)
Week Sixteen Det. 21 Chicago 24 (Crushing loss, fell out of 1st place tie)
Week Seventeen at Tennessee Det. 16 Tennesse 31 (All hope for playoffs gone after this)

*In week 9 I looked at my overall record and thought that maybe the game was playing to easy for me so I used Finn’s editor and decreased my defensive run coverage and pass coverage by 15% for all my players. This made a world of difference and really made the game very hard for me. After doing this I finished out the season going 3-6. I seemed to enjoy it even more.>>

Re: Lions Franchise-Default roster to present day

I really like what ur doing... it'll be really cool to see players go on different teams in the future, like AP, Joe Thomas, Patrick Willis, Calvin Johnson (You might not need him anymore with the way Rogers is paying, lol. He's livin up to his draft status in this season) etc... All will be on different teams,

That's so crazy that Oakland won it all!!! lol.
Keep updatin us on this, I wanna see how the league shapes out

Re: Lions Franchise-Default roster to present day

I have been doing this as well. I was 8-8 in year one after finishing the season 3-5 Tim Couch is my QB and in year two I am off to an 0-4 start.

Re: Lions Franchise-Default roster to present day

I just started year two of this franchise (took some time off) and I thought I would post about the draft and what players teams got. I am only going to list a couple for each team. Some players are game generated because I wanted to have some people that were fake because I thought it would be more fun that way. Only going to list the 75+ rated and a few real players rated below. Rookie FB's are inflated because I raised thier run block rating.

49ers Overall
Josh Bullucks S 75
Mike Nugent K 88

Bears
Randal Griffen TE 83
Ronnie Brown RB 81
Trent Cole DE 78
Terry Wells WR 78
Alex Barron T 74
Bears had a good draft.

Bengals
Mark Bradley WR 80
Carnell Williams RB 80

Bills
Chris Henry WR 79
Khalif Barnes T 77
Ryan Fitzpatrick QB 75

Broncos
Andres Holmes P 82
Matt Cassel QB 79
Alfonso Tyler C 79
Derrick Johnson LB 78
Jared Hansen WR 77
Good draft

Browns
Ricky Walters FB 90
Marlin Jackson CB 72
Fabian Washington CB 72

Bucs

Brandon Jacobs RB 86 (Can you image him and Alstott in the same backfield)
Danny Simpson WR 78
Jeremiah Jacobs TE 76

Cardinals
Jason Campbell QB 84
Lonnie Kelley C 79
Frank Gore RB 77

Chargers
DeMarcus Ware LB 78

Jaguars
Arturo Chambers WR 82
Troy Williamson WR 81
Mark Clayton WR 80
Erik King C 78
Shaun Cody DT 78
Andrew Walter QB 76
Ron Bartell CB 70
I remember thinking to myself on this one, I can't believe I am going to draft them 3 WR, but they only had 1 on there roster. In a couple of years they are going to be throwing the ball all over the place.

Jets
Shannon Kim G 91
Kevin Everett TE 88
JJ. Arrington RB 74
Marion Barber RB 71 (Is he going to be a bust in my NFL?)

Lions (ME)
Erasmus James DE 82
David Greene QB 78
Steward Hayes G 76
Terrence Murphy WR 73
Anthony Bryant DT 72
D.D. Brown SS 70
Darryl Blackstock LB 69
Not a great draft, but we'll see what happens.

Packers
Matt Jones WR 92 (Freak. I am so Happy he is in my division.)
Derek Anderson QB 80 Brett Favre replacement in future?
Stefan Lefors QB 77
Cedrick Thomas WR 74
Frank Omiyale T 73
Bryant McFadden CB 70

Panthers
Henry Rowe K 86
Dan Orlovsky QB 75
Justin Miller CB 71

Patriots
Bert Pena K 83
Braylon Edwards WR 82
Daniel Moody FB 79

Raiders
Alex Smith QB 86
Marcus Spears DE 85
Julian Webb WR 83

Ravens
Mike Williams WR 89 (Their A. Boldin 5 years earlier?)
Aaron Rodgers QB 83 (Their Joe Flacco 5 years earlier?)

Tom Wright C 75
Great Draft for the Ravens

Redskins
Paul Crawford P 83
James Sanders SS 72
Matt Williams LB 72
Not a good draft

Saints
Nick Collins LB 74
Kerry Rhodes SS 71
BAD, BAD, draft. Had a couple of CB's but they are rated very poor.

Seahawks
Travis Johnson De 84
Bo Scaife TE 78
Lofa Tatupa LB 67 (ouch)

Steelers
Benny Pittman WR 86
Thomas Copeland K 79
Shawne Merriman LB 79 They are stacked at the LB position.
Ernest Cole SS 77
Ciatrick Fason RB 75

Texans
Shannon Anderson FB 92
Leroy James WR 76
Cedrick Benson RB 76
Brandon Jones WR 75

Titans
Adam Terry T 83
Reggie Brown WR 78
Darren Sproles RB 76
Rian Wallace LB 73

Vikings
Ellis Valdez Dt 82
Kyle Orton QB 81
Vincent Fuller FS 75

All-in-All it was a good, fun draft....There are quite a few fake players rated above real players which is good and bad, but for the most part the top level guys of the draft are real players. I think the Ravens did the best job. For my next draft I will have more real players rated higher before the draft.
