did you always play this on the original XBox? I played Patriots and 49ers franchises back in the day and almost weekly they would feature my games, one team or the other. Of cource I also used to save my highlights in game. Maybe that has something to do with it, it had a saved highlight on the hard drive to reference.

Yeah, I played only on XBOX. You might be on to something about the highlight saves. I'm going to check that out.

This thread baffles me because I've always seen one highlight of the game I played in the week, and it's a real highlight, of a play that really happened.

And I thouroughly disagree with Rocky, CH Tonight is way under par with respect to 2K5, no full screen highlight, but above all they're fake and few, you see the same ones every week more or less. In 2k5 even highlights of simulated games are real, meaning that if you see a guy make an INT, then go watch his stats, he will have one INT more.....

Yeah, I've only played this game on XBOX and have always seen my highlights. I'm not sure if I always made the highlight reel (as in not sure if I got a highlight per week), but I know for 100% certain that actual plays from my game were featured when I did get a highlight. In fact, I know this for sure because Chris Berman just repeats what he says from the halftime/postgame highlight reel. You know, "Player X's INT was a possible momentum shifter." For the other game highlights, there is special audio for THAT highlight complete with all the Berman-isms. They do alter the weather and camera angle, too. So a highlight may seem different just because it's from a different camera angle, which is cool.

Saving highlights mid-game do not impact this.

I'm speaking purely on the XBOX version, played on original XBOX (not 360).

I'm sad, because this game isn't for Gamecube, and my PS3 is one of those models that don't let you play PS2 games

I remember shelling out about $120 bucks including S&H on ebay for an XBox, 6 games, 4 controllers, and an AR set. All so I could play this while using Puja's rosters and Finn's editor. If you have the money, it's def worth it. I also discovered how awesome the Xbox was, it stays hooked up to my TV.
