    Xbox 360 "Slim" Owners SOL???

I wonder how 360 "Slim" owners are going to get updated 2K5 saves now. I mean, ... until Microsoft or some other company releases a transfer cable for the new 360's HDD to be hooked up to a PC, getting 2K5 saves (or any other Xbox1 saves) on the new 360 is impossible.

Looks like I won't be updating to the new 360 until a cable is released to hook the Slim's HDD to my computer...

Good luck getting 2K5 saves on your new 360, new 360 owners, haha

good question. I've got a "slim" but I still play 2k5 on my original xbox so no worries here.

Isn't it a standard hard drive in the Slim now? Just get a $20 USB to HD connector, plug it in, and go. Here's a nice one at NewEgg -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-004-_-Product

If you search, you can probably find a low rent one for roughly $15, that's about what I paid for mine at Fryes.

Yep I have a new slim 360 as well and I'm wondering how I am going to get the new rosters on my hdd. I just picked up 2k5 on eBay for $5 brand new shipped on the Xbox and $0.99 at GameStop for the PS2 so I'm locked and loaded for both since I have a PS3 and already updated the rosters. There's no way to put the rosters on a USB drive and simply transfer them over, is there?

Couldn't you use a memory card with Xport?

360 Slim doesn't have memory card slots. I don't think you can put xbox 1 games on a USB stick and have the xbox recognize the save either.

Corrrect Finn... You can't just transfer 2K5 (or any other Xbox1 saves for that matter) to the 360's HDD from a usb flash drive... That's the whole problem here haha... If we could transfer Xbox1 saves back and forth between the HDD and a flash drive, then a transfer cable would be COMPLETELY obsolete...

Therefore, a transfer cable needs to come out that connects the NEW 360's HDD DIRECTLY to a PC with Xport or Xplorer...

For right now, a TRANSFER CABLE for the OLD 360's HDD is the only way someone is going to be able to use updated 2K5 saves on the Xbox 360. Period.

It looks like it could, should work... Unless... Microsoft puts or already has a restriction on connecting the new HDD to a PC.

I'm pretty sure we'll all get this straightened out soon

Ok guys, just bought a slim and was pissed that the old transfer cable wouldn't work so I took the time to figure out the new method.

Just go and buy a standard usb to sata cable such as the one cables to go sells.

You then install xport 360. Plug in the 250GB slim drive to your PC (you might have to initialize it in computer management - disk management, I did that in my testing at least). Then start up xport 360 and you'll see the xbox disk just fine.

You can now copy over all your new rosters as usual.

                        Whew!

Why do you seem pleased about the misfortune of others? Doesn't make sense.
