Whats with you and this sliding on grass stuff
The momentum is good on Madden. But which would you rather have, no momentum or this slide on grass momentum you say? If you choose no momentum, you're insane. If you play Fever, I understand but you have got to be the first person I heard complain about the momentum on Madden.

I tell you what, put on a fat suit and add some football gear and run around in it and tell me how you run, I know you want slide but you sure cant turn on a dime ethier.

i hate doing this but mods can you please tighten up? Finally there are seperate Madden and 2k4 forums and we still have to deal with this BS?

Every thread is ruined... can't even judge by titles anymore. This is b/c of both 2k4 and madden fans, please try to keep the threads on topic. Mods, please shut down these threads that turn into the same BS and get rid of the common strands in these threads.

Smartest thing i have heard all thread! Has BD banned himself?

I already play with pads on and while I can't move as well as I can without them I can still pretty much stop and start when I want to. And I'm not a small guy either. I play defensive end and while sometimes I over pursue most of the time I am able to still get the tackle and not take myself out of the play by sliding. And you keep saying how 2k doesn't have any momentum but they do have momentum this year. Madden has way too much momentum. And I'm not the only one to complain about it.

Re: player movement in ESPN Football

No point in trying to argue with these maddenites. It's useless because what they fail to realize is that the majority of 2k'ers used to play Madden, while they have never tried to play 2k. What I mean by tried is to actually learn the game & how it plays on it's own merits. Instead they go into the 2k series looking for Madden when the box clearly states 2k/ESPN. VC is not trying to imitate Madden & is clear on trying to seperate it's game from Madden. The majority of maddenites are closed minded & can't/won't accept change no matter how good another product is. This is to their disadvantage because in the process they are missing out on the greatest football title in this generation of consoles & at the same time keeping their favorite game at a stand still that will catch up with them by PS3/XBOX NEXT.

While they steady reward EA with their purchase for a underdeveloped product the VC team will steady innovate which will carry over into the next generation of console. So when you are playing the next Madden on PS3 & it only features a few graphic adjustments & fluff modes & the converted 2k'ers are playing photo-realistic graphics that actually is integrated with a tv broadcast thank your close mindedness for killing off the franchise that you love so dearly. VC is steady working for the future while EA is steady living off the past.

Now that someone mentioned the players in NFL2K3 run like Frankenstein, what they really remind me of is a battle mech from Mech Warrior when they run.

Well, I for one, think Madden's momentum sucks giant monkey nuts. It is impossible to play with every position effectively and is probaly the #1 contributor to the insanely bad running system they have in the game(mario running). I hate the fact that Sega has no momentum, but hey at least I can control every player....at least it's fun on D.....at least I can run the ball realisticaly.
