Ok. Last time... How about this for a commercial?

Camera (looks like it's handheld because it's shaking a bit) following Warren Sapp from behind. He's turning around while walking and talking some serious smack!

SAPP: You think you know football?

clips of the game shown. Close up replay type stuff of Sapp causing havoc in the backfield.

... Then back to the camera following Sapp.

SAPP: (getting louder) You think you got what it takes to play in MY league?!

More clips of gameplay footage. Shows cutscenes of crowd, etc.

SAPP: (really mean) HUH?!!! You think you're TOUGH!

More scenes like Sapp just driving a QB into the ground

SAPP: [/i](now fully facing the camera and at a complete stop, looking kinda like he will on the cover of the game)
He says really intense in low...[/i]

... Put a jersey on...

Shows Qb perspective in First-Person mode with Sapp rushing in slo-mo and Qb heartbeat is heard. Then switch to regular speed as QB is hit... the screen goes black for a sec... and then back on from on the turf view, as he struggles to get up/whistle blows.

Then a voiceover comes on along with the logo: ESPN NFL Football 2K4 presented to you by SEGA. Featuring a new alternate way to play the game... Introducing First-Person Football.

(As the new mode is mentioned you see footage of the options menu selecting the First-Person mode.)

SAPP: IT'S not in the game... YOU'RE in the game!

Well, what do y'all think?

That was HOT. Just visualizing it gave me the willies. You should right them a e-mail or something with this idea. I like it.

And that its not in the game, you're in the game--classic.

as I started reading ur post, I was like "here goes, another would be marketer" But I think thats just an excellent idea, wow...Im very impressed

It's not in the game, you're in the game.

Thats classic but I think it will be difficult to use, because the casual gamer might confuse it with EA Sports or at least, it will make them "think" of EA sports, and that means you are giving your opponent publicity, negative or not, you never want to do that in advertising except in certain circumstances.

You should write commercials for sega. Lol. But that was great that would help sell a couple of copies of the game by itself.
