Here's the dilly yo!

It adds to realism. I don't know what you mean by no one doing it right. What do you want real-time dirt? That would be cool and they could probably do it---- at the expense of other features, but definitely in 2005 with the next generation consoles will see it.

But for now, I think Madden does a good job in that department. True you may not think about such things in the heat of battle with your buddies, but when it IS in there and especially when you're just at home playing the computer, it's these little graphical touches that add up to immerse a person more into the world of football. Just a little shumthin', shumthin' extra to further "blur the line," to use a cliche, between a videogame and a TV broadcast.

I like them gettig progressively dirtier like NCAA2004, and I wish ESPN would do this. BUT it is a little thing I can live without. It does add to the atmosphere though.

Re: Seriously.What\'s the big Deal about Dirty uniforms..

Why is everyone just assuming that they won't have them in? Just because they didn't say anything doesn't mean that it's not in. If they said that they aren't going to start dirty then it's obvious that they are going to get progressively dirty. Why would they keep them clean throughout the whole game? That would be a step down from last year.

I like the dirt on the unis also, it adds atmosphere. NCAA does a good job at it,and from the screenshots Maddens looks good also. If ESPN can have it, it'll be nice to add to its already good atmosphere.

It definitely can add to the atmosphere, but it still needs to be done well.

Players should get more than a sprinkling of dust and a few grass stains when it's raining frogs and the pitch is all muddy.

This is sort of like how I feel about blood in wrestling games. It would be nice if it has it, but I could care less if it doesn't.
