Small thing I hope they change in 2k4
The example I'm using here applies to the XBox version, but the same theory can easily be applied to the PS2 version.
When you call a pass play, the receiver lined up far left is assigned to the L trigger, the receiver lined up to the far right is assigned the B button, and depending on how many recevers you have, the X, A, and Y buttons are used for backs, tight ends, and receivers in the slot. Basically, receiver button assignments are laid out so that their position on the field is analagous to their button's position on the controller.
That is until you "flip the play". The button assignment follows the receiver, so now the receiver split wide-right is using the L-trigger. To me, this is a little counter-intuitive? Does it bother anyone else? I hate to say it, but I think Madden switches up the button assignments for flipped plays. Then again, this might not be something that everyone likes.
Has anyone played a beta or the demo and noticed how this is being handled in 2k4?
