Apf 2k8 vs espn NFL 2k5

I have apf 2k8 and I like the game I just feel moving on defense is a little tricky. But how does it compare to 2k5? I am thinking about buying 2k5 but only if the game play is different for apf.

Gameplay wise- APF
Presentation- 2k5
Depth and replayabilty-Mostly 2k5
When I first saw APF I did not think twice about it. One day I walked in Gamestop. I saw the price was $ 5, so I said what the heck(around that time I was buying a lot of old PS2 football games). Great buy. Arguably one the best next gen football game( from a gameplay point). But 2k5 had almost perfect presentation. It had a lot of the little things. It had a great season mode.

Screens can be used, QB's are much better, DB's are better.

APF is really just 2K5, game play wise, w/ the engine fine tuned

The thing I did not like about apf was it was too hard to run after the catch if ur guy was standing still and also it was hard to change direction on defense while running

That's basically how I feel as well. Personally, I would definitely play APF 2k8 over 2k5 IF it had a franchise mode or whatever. But with them being legends and so, it probably would've been hard to figure out the right way to do franchise mode so I understand. But that's why I choose to play 2k5 because of Franchise. I love building my team, drafting players, seeing those players either blossom or just never really amount to much. It's probably sad, but I know where just about all of the guys I've drafted went to college. And I am in year 2009 I believe, so I've drafted a good amount of guys.
