Good God. I bought Madden 2004. Been a Madden fan since 1994. Played 2k through 2k3 on rentals. Never really wanted to buy it though. Knew it was a good game, but didn't think it was in Madden's league.

I'm SICK AND TIRED OF THE ....

-Dropped Ints by the CBS(four_five times a game this happens)
- Stopping the run is too hard. My friend was using the Bucs, against Miami(other friend) he used ricky on EVERY play. He got 4-5 a pop. My friend used 46 defense....4-3...goaline. NOTHING worked. NOTHING. And before any of you madden [censored you naughty boy] say anything, i dont feel like changing the sliders because MADDEN(oh bow down to the great madden, omg its madden OMG) refuses to make the game realistic from the [censored you naughty boy] START.
-Making accurate passes on the run. glover and coakley are in carr's grill, but he makes a perfect accross the field pass while running away from them

I mean give me a break. I loved Madden from the years past. It wasnt perfect, but it was good enough. This year seems ridiculous. The cheating ai(dont get me started) the bs plays.

Now...i got the ESPN demo. My thoughts...

-Running, scrambling are FAR more realistic than madden
-Passing seems kind of sluggish IMO(kinda slow. dont know if this will be fixed. It didnt seem as sluggish in 2k-2k3)
-Defense is ok
-Where is the trash talking? the plays are weak(both these are prolly cuz it is a demo after all)


I'm THIS close to returning MADDEN for ESPN(ill get around 30 credit for madden) but I don't know. Maybe I should rent ESPN first. What if it has even MORE problems than Madden?

I finished playing madden online. This guy put TO as a TE. Then I played another guy who used booker as a TE. and i tried every d play imaginable to prevent booker and TO. then when i set my d, he audibles and runs it for a 7-10 yard gain. It was pathetic. [censored you naughty boy] YOU MADDEN!!!!!!!

I think Madden 04 is okay, but the hype far out-weighed the delivery, as usual.

If you like Madden at all, and can deal with a little learning curve then you should enjoy ESPN.

If you can live without Madden for awhile....The way you can wheel and deal trades and game credits at stores these days, I would probably trade Madden in for credit towards ESPN, and if I did'nt like it I'd just trade back for it (of course you'd have to add alittle of your own money to do it but it's a risk worth taking).

The ESPN Demo was from E3 which was months ago
