I read it twice. Sega may hire you as their promo man LB. You sold me.

man this game sure sounds like a winner. LB loves it, team xbox dude loves it, Steve loves it. I can't wait to get this game.

I really like how the stat tracking is fine tuned and stuff. half tackles? Badass!!!

Hopefully this game will sell well and VC/Sega will finally get the respect they deserve.

Re: Football-Gaming ESPN Football review (LBz)

Coupla nitpicks about an otherwise very nice review. The injury 'innovation' has been in Madden for at least a couple of years (at the very least Probables can play, and most likely Doubtfuls and Questionables though generally their ratings are low enough and I don't want to get them even more injured that I leave em out of the depth chart).

Also, the CPU AI in NCAA 2004 goes for fake field goals and punts (not sure about Madden, I haven't played that one enough this season), so technically Sega's game isn't the first.

This is not at all saying that Sega's best features copy other games as they've come up with many of their own that were then copied (the trade block feature comes to mind...) Just clarifying a couple of issues.

To tell the truth, the only part of the review that was exciting to me was the sack issue. This has to do with the fact that I play in 'GM' mode where I watch the games, so most of the gameplay issues mean little to me except that it does sound more realistic.

Nevertheless, it was an entertaining and very good review. Can't wait to get my hands on the game.

hmmm LB means that its finally in the 2K series....it has nothing to do on who had it first....the injury 'innovation' fake punt/field goal were pretty much non existent in the past
