I've heard "Lose Yourself" a bunch of times associated to football games, though. Matter of fact, first time I heard it was when some highlight reel of Shaun Alexander running all over the Raiders was being shown

Not so sure about that bucs44. In the original IGN preview of ESPN 2k4, it said you could do this. Then two weeks later, that part of the preview was mysteriously gone. I think IGN was mistaken and VC corrected them. You will be able to play music from your HD via the Crib's jukebox. But we don't know about using that music during the game. Based on the fact that IGN changed their preview, I'm guessing no.
