That's a good question. Checking out the box, underneath the ESRB rating, I notice the "Game Experience May Change During Online Play".

No clue if sliders affect it or not...maybe?

I think they are referring to the use of headsets and people who might swear while on Xbox Live. so what they are saying is the game can go from rated 'E' for everyone to a rated 'M' F bomb fest while online.

i'm taking that back. I'll start a new franchise as my franchise that'll mess around w/ sliders, and the other will be for the crib.

Can you even use sliders in multiplayer?

I think so, but only if it's an unranked game (that's how it was last year so I'm assuming it's the same this year).

But you're going to have a hard time trying to convince some random person on LIVE to play to your slider settings. For league play or with a friend it should be fine though.

Re: Official ESPN Football Sliders Discussion

Right now I am getting some decent play with all sliders(Human and CPU) +5. This makes it more difficult but keeps it even. That is all I want to do. Keep it even. I am playing Bills @ Jets(me) and I lead 14-6 due to an offensive TD by Curtis Martin and a fumble returned by Mo Lewis. The Bills have kicked 2 FGs.

Re: Official ESPN Football Sliders Discussion

I lost my fourth straight game with the Broncos. The last two games really pissed me off though because the computer drove right down the field when they needed scores late in the game alla Madden. That ruined 2 otherwise great games. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you can adjust anything you want if it's an unranked game online, which is what I'm looking for (for my leagues).

I'm starting off with All Pro @ 8min and working off of that to find balanced gameplay online.

Re: Official ESPN Football Sliders Discussion

Alright, here is a starting point for anyone willing:

10-12 minute quarters
Game Speed: Fast (Imperative, CPU responds differently on Fast)

All Sliders from far left ( 0 )

Human Blocking - 10
Human Passing - 10
Human Running - 7
Human Catching - 10
Human Coverage - 10
Human Pursuit - 10
Human Tackling - 24
Human Kicking - 15
Human Fatigue - 15

CPU Blocking - 30
CPU Passing - 30
CPU Running - 23
CPU Catching - 30
CPU Coverage - 30
CPU Pursuit - 20
CPU Tackling - 30
CPU Kicking - 15
CPU Fatigue - 15

Penalty Sliders

All Sliders from far left ( 0 )

Neutral Zone - 30
Def. PI - 20
Off. PI - 30
Off. Holding - 30
Def. Holding - 30
Late Hit - 20
Clipping - 20
Roughing the Passer - 30
Roughing the Kicker - 30
Ineligible Reciever - 20
Face Mask - 25

These are, obviously, very basic for the time being. I have been getting decent results using both the Ravens and the Chargers. Keep in mind, both are rush before pass teams, so guys using the Raiders/Rams should try these out with an open mind.

Let me know...
