ok, so when i do my rosters, i'll finish a team, then go into a game, edit their subs, and leave and save the roster. this way, i dont have to save 32 playbooks.

that usually worked for me in the past, but now when i do them, i'll leave a game, save, and come back to see that all the subs i did were reset. i have no idea why the game keeps ignoring what i do.

this is especially annoying when putting in long snappers and holders. if anybody can help, that be real cool.

really? no help? i dont get why my substitutions wont save. i go into a game, set the subs, exit and save, and they dont stick!! why wont they stay the way i set them?

wouldn't it be easier if you just edited the depth charts? I only edit the subs for certain formations but Idk if it will work for cpu controlled teams, as they might just reset it.

ive already edited the depth charts on the editor, so those actually stick in game. i want to edit the subs for different packages like nickel, dime, punt, and fg.

the method i had been using worked, but for some reason it stopped. a select few teams actually lock the subs in place, but now ill edit them and they dont stick. i dont get it. this is the only thing im missing.

for example:

after i finished the packers roster in the editor, i started the game and entered a quick game with the packers. i paused, went to substitutions and went to field goal formation.

holder was matt flynn and the snapper was jason spitz.

i switched in tim masthay for flynn and brett goode for spitz.

i exited the game, saved the roster, and re-entered a game with GB.

i checked the subs--they were exactly how i left them.

this also worked for the eagles, vikings, giants, and like 3 or 4 others.

now for some reason it's not happening anymore, and its buggin the s out of me!

So your actually starting a game editing subs then exiting and saving? It has been a while since I've played 2k5 but is there not an out of game menu to edit subs

yea theres an out of game menu, but when you change the playbooks (cowboys have chargers playbook for 3-4 defense), it will show the chargers players instead of the cowboys when you edit in the menus. thats why i would enter a game.

however, i have since fixed my problem. i just decided to make 32 f'n playbooks. they dont never reset and its only a minor inconvenience to go load the ones i want to use for games.
