Reciever hesitiation

First I must say that ESPN is one of the best football
games I have played in a long time. Everything from the
presentation, to the gameplay, to the animations is a
perfect representation of football. However I only have
one complaint, although it might just be a glitch in my
copy of the game. Has anyone noticed a problem when
switching to a reciever to manually controll them?? On my
Xbox copy the reciever hesitates for a split second when I press b immediately after I throw a pass to take control of him. I've had Troy Brown wide open a few times
but when I switch to controll him he stops for a split
second and then continues his route, turning a sure
touchdown into an overthrown ball. Am I doing something
wrong???

Re: Reciever hesitiation

You'll get this with the older versions of the game. THe problem is that you can be swapping into a receiver that is in the middle of speedbursting. When you swap in, you need to make sure you have the stick pointed to where you want to go and, if necessary, be tapping the button ( tough to do ).

You'll be fine then. This is the cost of giving the user INSTANT control of the player he swaps into.

yeah. All of them. This game give you control of the guy as soon as you swap in. If you don't have your stick pointed, he will stop. This is why I couldn't pass in NFL2k period. I didn't learn this until 2k1.

i guess I'll have to keep practicing. Its amazing about how much I suck at this game, but I'm loving every minute of it. Oooh just noticed my subject line...yeah...looks like that college education is paying off.
