Learning Football Tatics?

This game is fantastic, blows NFL Fever 2004 away.

That said I am a big fan of football and know the basic formations but don't have a clue about the subsets. Further I don't really know what backfield players on defense etc. really do... etc. I never played football myself. How have you all be come so knowledgable about various defenses and offenses and is there a good book etc. to read to learn this stuff...

If you haven't checked it out yet go to the practice menu, then go to Reference Guide. It explains a lot of terminology and technical aspects of football, and even gives you some tips. I grew up playing football and still found some useful information in there. However, I'm sure some other people here can give you some sources for more information as well.
