Gameplay no one comes close

Best "on the field" (gameplay, graphics, sound, presentation), it would be hard not to agree. Best overall? Depends on how much you like other features like franchise(Owner's mode rocks, Training features rock, mini-drills kill, but FPM is the sh*t and the Crib is nice) and extras.

I spend the majority of my time "on the field", but that doesn't take away from the other stuff.

So far I like Madden better. VC failed to fix certain major issues like DB AI and decided to add a crib mode instead. I still need to give the game its fair 3 weeks like Madden, but so far it's not even close.

ESPN on the field is by far the best. I really don't think Madden is in the same league with gameplay. NCAA is good also, but I still feel ESPN beats them all on the field.

Off the field stuff I can't comment on because I haven't gotten that into it. I do like that good teams after a couple of years of simming are still solid, no weird worst to first stories like I had in Madden 2004 where the Texans won the superbowl in year two of my franchise.

I guess it's about what you like, but I can't see how anybody could prefer Madden 2004 over ESPN-it must be the EA "brainwash" kicking in.
