After having played Fever and after playing FPF I believe they have got to incorporate a TRUE Panning system into the 3rd person engine.

I never liked how far back from the field of play that you need to zoom to see all of your receivers. That alone may be why so many people want a high def mode as the players still look detailed at a distance where on a tv they look rather fuzzy. (this is NOT a 720p thread please)

HOWEVER....Fever has incorporated a system that truly pans and scans the field as you focus on your receivers, and FPF (with the rt stick allows you similar freedom).

imagine a 3rd person OPTION, whereby you could drop back (using even a closer view) and using the Rt stick pan left or right to see your receivers (just like FPF).

This truly represents how a QB sees the field and allows you more freedom to look without being viewed from the "blimp cam"

It's already being done in FPF...just move it over to 3rd person.

Not sure what it's called, but there is an option in the camera settings that will pan the camera back when you pass. It helps a great deal.

As for the actual topic, I fully agree. Even something similar to trigger passing to "look" at a receiver. Fever did some nice stuff in the passing game this year. Panning would work, hitting a button to look at a receiver would work, practically ANYTHING would work other than hiding portions of the field unless you want to zoom so far back that it looks like you're a pigeon in the rafters looking down.

Yeah, just like Madden does. And I think he realizes that. That's just considered more or less a 'blimp' camera mode though. He's referring to manually being able to look left and right while dropping back to pass... instead of the camera just moving higher. I agree btw. That would rock.

No...he means pnanning left and right I believe. I'd love it. You could look off recievers with it. It'd be tight if it actually froze a safety or somethin to.

I completely agree.. Fever wins for most innovative game this year.

That passing mode(trigger or unlocked rnl is amazing.

I hope/think all games have it next year.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the most innovative...

I think FPF trashes RnL as far as innovations go, but RnL is definitely the best passing mode on the market at the moment.
