I think I found a solution for DB AI but

you might not like it. THe problem I saw even after using Bill's sliders was that the DBs don't make accurate plays on the ball. I tried different slider combonation against flag routes in different plays but the DBs would start to give up plays at about 30-50 clip depending on the team. So I decided to up the Catch Slider for CPU maxed out I completed like 4 out all the plays I played. So try Bills sliders and up the CPU catch and tell me if that helps anybody who is still having trouble.

The daughter has the TV now so... heh. Did upping that make the CPU receivers catch everything thrown to them? I know exactly what you mean about the "give up plays at about 30-50 clip" and if this helps, let's run with it.

Well I didn't test how it effected the CPU offense since my goal was to find out if this helped the DB reaction. So when I basically called offense for both sides not punting throwing different plays that had flag Routes in it. So as far as the offense of the CPU that is unknown as of yet but I threw 5 picks throwing nothing but flag with Browns and Raiders offense in the same game and only completed like 5 out of the numerous plays I ran with both teams.

How does upping the CPU Pass Slider help out the CPU Dbs?

I dont' get it.

I'm using Bill's sliders and I've upped coverages for both Hum and CPU.

I've also upped the CPU pursuit.

It's slowly helping.

Where in my post did I say up CPU Passing I said up Catching.

I'm guessing it helps when they break for the ball and whiff (which happens a lot it seems.) That's my guess anyway.

Im still confused......SO does this mean that the CATCHING slider affects both on the CPU OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE side of the ball??.......And theoretically, if it improves the catching of the DBs, then it would also increase the CPU's recievers hands as well which seem to be like stickum this year ( mainly because VC seemed to overcompensate for last year's dropped balls gripes most people seemed to have )


One thing I find problematic with ESPN is that the AI engine never seems to learn from mistakes and make adjustments and adapt to repetitive playcalling. This is one area that I think NCAA 2004 does very well...if you run the same play 2 or 3 times, the AI will make some adjustments.
