Re: Do you feel every down counts in ESPN?

I agree Ive had most of my games be close games, I just lost the the Bengals 23-17 in OT.

49ers vs

Chi 18-13 W
Ram 23-31 L
Clv 39-10 W
Min 44-48 L
Det 27-20 W
Sea 21-13 W
TB 38-31 W
Ari 20-17 W
Ram 15-34 L
Pit 32-10 W
GB 14-26 L was closer till I gave up a stupid run
Bal 15-24 L
Ari 13-10 W
Cin 17-23 L OT

I love that fact that big time players make big plays, and if you dont have them, you wont be making them. "come back soon Owens"

Re: Do you feel every down counts in ESPN?

madden was WAY too easy, I had 4 players up for MVP one time and Randy Moss always put up 3000-4000 yards every year and was 3 time MVP (i have only played 3 season)

I know exactly what you're saying,I spend 1st and 2nd down, just trying to put myself in position for 3rd and short, and if I don't convert,I always punt, never did it in Madden.

I tend to feel like I have to try my *** off on every down and I end up having great games. In Madden I felt like I had to slack off once in awhile to get a good game in. If the game was close, I always felt in control. Even with good sliders, I just didn't have that much fun. In ESPN I feel that every play counts. This is tough to explain... Anyone know what I'm sayin?

Check out my scores from my dynasty so far.

ESPN
1 @ Green Bay W 27-17
2 Chicago L 28-31
3 @ Detroit W 20-7
4 San Francisco W 24-12
5 @ Atlanta L 17-24
6 Bye Week --- ---
7 Denver W 30-15

Madden
(First couple games I won't post because of bad sliders)
Here's the scores with great sliders

Vikings 43
Texans 33

VIKINGS 30
LIONS 27

VIKINGS 18
COWBOYS 41

VIKINGS 45
COLTS 48

VIKINGS 27
GIANTS 20

VIKINGS 34
EAGLES 31

VIKINGS 26
JAGUARS 3

VIKINGS 27
LIONS 7

VIKINGS 16
BEARS 10

VIKINGS 26
PACKERS 20

VIKINGS 38
SEAHAWKS 24

VIKINGS 28
SAINTS 21

VIKINGS 31
BUCS 21

VIKINGS 27
PACKERS 32

I know what you're talking about. I remember I told a Madden fan at work I lost my very first game of ESPN (I started on All Pro first) and he told me I should've turn it off so I wouldn't lose.

I went into overtime with the Vikings and won 41 to 35. I was up 14 to 7 with under a minute left in the first half and Daunte Culpepper threw a bomb to Randy Moss for a TD right before the half to tie the score. Then in the second half I ran to control the clock and figured all I had to do was stop a couple of plays to win. I score to go up 35 to 28 with 20 seconds left in regulation. I kick the ball and their kick returner took it all the way back to tie the score and send the game into overtime. I won the toss and run the ball only throwing the ball to get first downs when needed and ended up winning 41 to 35. I had close games but that was the closet. I think if I loss that coin toss I might have lost that game.
