I'm not understanding something. Out of all the posts I read, I come accross some that totally baffles me.

Let me start by saying "u like what u like" and that's lovely. U drop $50 on a game, u should feel like ur getting ur money's worth. But when someone says the game sucks due to: too many broken tackles, can't complete that many passes etc..etc..etc.. it's amazing.

For those of you who are new to the game, u have to remember one thing. ESPN is geared "more" towards realism than any other game on the market. In order to play a realistic game, u have to think realistically. The game is not designed for "newbies or the inexperienced" to fire it up on the all pro or legend levels and be able to compete right away. U have to spend time on the practice field which a lot of people don't do.

I'm sorry but when I got Madden this year (as always), I was able to jump on the all pro level and have a shootout with the cpu. After adjusting some sliders, that changed. I went to the practice field, put some time in and learned the playmaker control and bingo, it was on.

All I'm saying is, if u choose not to take a "little" time and tweak a few sliders, go to the practice field, read defenses, AUDIBLE out of bad offensive plays, call time outs, call hot routes, slow down and follow your blockers, wait til the receiver gets open, stop throwing into double and triple coverages, adjust your linebackers and db's, AUDIBLE out of bad defensive sets etc..etc..etc..then this game isn't for you.

By the way, this is how the real game is played!!! That's what I wanted, that's what they gave me.

Doesnt this arguement ever get old. Ok if I want REAL FOOTBALL I have to play ESPN's video game over Madden.......Video game right????? ok.....both games are great and there are major problems with both games. Chill with the this one's for real football fans talk. That's so dumb... I can point out a thousand things with both games that arent REAL FOOTBALL

if you actually read the post rather than looking for the next espn fan ready to bash madden you'd realize how silly your response is. this was a post to fans of ESPN telling them to work at the game rather than complain about what's wrong with it. you try to twist it into a post of espn is more realistic than madden? you really need to get out and get some air, or maybe just go play your game of choice more rather than searchin for that needle in a haystack on a message board.

On the contrary its not to many ppl complaining about the game. A few, yes, but not as many as when Madden was released. That board was rant city upon release. Most ppl realize that the game does need to be tweaked but no one has still found out a perfect set of sliders. Give it a week and the game will be more enjoyable to the ones that wanna make this game they're primary than ever.

I've seen more converts here in this forum than I've ever witnessed. I'm one of them. And day by day, I keep seeing new threads from other former Madden players.

I am a convert myself, i do still play madden on PC but thats cause im in a leauge. ESPN has me now and i cant wait till next year.

PS> My friend is a Manager at Gamestop in Green Bay and he said at his store ESPN is catchin up to Madden in terms of sales.

Re: REAL FOOTBALL

Lowpressure is right:

This is not a "pop it in and play like a pro right away" game. I played at the computer's level, quite enjoyably on PRO, and bounced it up to ALL PRO after only 2-3 games. What a difference! It got so much harder. I just can't call plays and pass or run at my leisure. I have to run motion, wait for blockers, know when to begin mashing on the A button (intead of right away as soon as I get the ball), power up for special moves, press the Y botton to try to fall foward...in other words, all the little things, and I still end up losing. This game is not easy! It's a challenge, a lot of fun and takes practice. Many of us hate bothering w/ practice mode or tutorials, but beleive me it helps. I admit, this is my first time playing VC football since Dreamcast, but I love it!

First, if "U" think that this topic is getting old, don't post a response. Says a lot about the fact that you took the time to respond. So please, next time u c a post like this, do yourself a favor and keep your immature comments to yourself. This is directed at the "to whom it may concern" peeps that feel what I'm saying.

Secondly. Thanks fellas for understanding what I was trying to get accross. For the sake of this not getting locked, I will say this: Myself and Highpressure have stumbled onto something regarding the sliders. So I will post in the appropriate area. Check out the info.
