Just to reiterate:

the in game manual states clearly that to get a good one on one tackle, that you should use a "charged" tackle.

I don't know about that. it should say "..to get knocked to the ground with a good straight arm to your facemask, charge & press tackle."

You realize that the REAL problem with the running is only evident ONLINE? Online the human opponent will juke, stiff arm, spin, etc almost endlessly. The animations of some of these moves make it IMPOSSIBLE to tackle the half back. I had good success online against the run, but not a game goes by where there isn't a 50 yrd run.

I believe that a lot of 2K3 players are in the same bandwagon. We are all struggling to stop the run against decent players. Decent, by the way, is the guy with 15 wins and 1 loss, no drops no quits and uses the Dolphins. Decent is someone like StunnaonDubs, SoleShark, Bingo Bango. Those are all old 2K3 pros. Do not brag about your defensive prowless or give defensive advice against the run until you play these fellows. If you manage to stop their running game, then get back to me

As always,

Win lost or tie... Raiders til I die!

Peace!

On XBOX the strafe button is far away and seems tough to do.

Ugh, agreed! That's the ONLY reason why I'm buying a PS2 controller adapter for my Xbox.

I already tried a controller adaptor & my experience was a bad one.
1. buttons are not in an order that makes sense.
2. button reaction is delayed.

if you find one that works well, let me know.

konex3,

when you choose to assign a defender or double team, is it only effective in MAN coverage? I went home from work & played @ lunch & did a little better, but I must have ran too much zone.
