Tip of the day for the Xbox version.

Well, in running at least. If you are running to the right and you see that you want to run to the left instead. Hit the B button (audible) and then click in the right thumbstick, it will reverse the way the runner's route is.

Cool.

This also works on the receivers routes but it just changes the two outside recievers routes to switch, it doesn't affect the tight ends/slot/backs.

Another tidbit to confirm my belief that you learn something new everyday. I had no idea about this.

I just learned how to use HOT ROUTES last night & my offensive drives are so much more fun. it's really effective to change your RB's routes when he is matches up against a LB. I ran an outside post with Garner, found him in the deep flat and there was no stopping him, 6 easy points.. On legend none the less.

This is wierd on the FB play to the inside though, instead of running outside it still goes inside - wierd but this is the only play that I can find that this doesn't work.

I'm using the Broncos it is in the Pro I formation and it is the only fullback running play.

for the most part, you need to be in 'symmetrical' formations to flip plays at the los, especially pass plays. for example, if you have three wr's bunched on one side and only one wr on the other, i don't think you'll be able to flip at the los (at the playcalling screen u will be).

for the run you couldn't flip, was it an offset i formation?

for all you guys that just found out about this, i give you credit for being able to move the ball at the higher difficulty ratings. i flip plays, audible, hot route, and motion probably half the time. i can't imagine how tough it would be to put up points if i didn't know about that stuff.

...and for PS2 users, in case you're wondering, to flip the play you push TRIANGLE and then push R3.
