It appears that they said it would be possible for both of us to use different cameras, but it doesn't appear to be true. I've had this problem a couple of different times. The first time someone changed the camera and I changed it back to what I wanted it as they said they could still see the camera they wanted, so I figured it did allow us both to have different cameras but since then it doesn't seem to be true. So I'm just assuming the first guy didn't notice the camera changed back.
