Oh my bad. I see the post Slant Route annoys me I'm thinking this person has problems defending the slants.

The one money play i use in NFL2K3 doesn't work anymore in this game...

But now the Post Slant by the TE or Slot Receiver does work if the other team is playing soft Zone..Usually works against Weaker teams..

The problem is CPU Ai playcalling..The Playcalling Ai needs to be more diverse...It needs to adjust to the other teams playcalling tendencies on Pass situations..They do adjust on run situations..

Maybe next year include HEAD COACH INTELLIGENCE attribute....this attribute will be a way to measure a teams AI playcalling/Adjust tendencies towards the other teams Gameplan.

The slant routes really bothered me for awhile, but after bumping up the CPU pass coverage sliders to legend levels...it makes a huge difference.

Doubtful, especially since many don't see a problem. I haven't noticed any problem.

I am playing with custom sliders with Human blocking, passing, and catching set at 0 and the CPU coverage, pursuit, and tackling set at 40. Even with these sliders ANY post or flag route to the slot receiver is a money play.
ESPN NFL 2K4 may be the last SEGA football game I ever buy again and I used to be a huge fan of the series. This is a VERY frustrating problem.
