Switched from XBOX to PS2 for ESPN.

The biggest for me is the controller. If you told me it would matter 4 months ago, I would have laughed. But the PS2 controller is very sensitive. With the XBOX S controller, The difference between a bullet and a lob pass is very little. Another good point I have heard is that the PS2 is symmetrical so it makes sense & every button is at your disposal.

I was on the board boasting the great XBOX graphics on my HDTV last week. After hooking my PS2 up with component cables, the graphics are hard to decipher. Once again though, the XBOX version is crisper and color is a little better. In my case, I play on the HDTV for about a week and then move the console to my regular TV in the bedroom since the big a** HDTV makes it harder to play. On the smaller, regular TV I can see more of the field and my eyes aren't as tired from looking all over the damn TV. As far as smoothness and fluidity... I still do not see the "framerate" advantage. I'll stick with PS2 because the only games I play are pretty much football & they are fun as hell, good graphics or not. Just ask John Elway Football Fans.

the new consoles wont be out till 2006 i bet. Get a PS2 now and have fun, just trade it in when the new PS/xbox comes out Its that easy.

They don't give a release date but i did read some where that the new consoles will be out in 2006 not 2005

Naw man thanks for trying to make sense out of the issue, but the fact of the matter is, I need a system for my basement and i would buy another xbox for downstairs, but I was think why not just get a ps2 for 99 bux and get a used network adapter and be online, I still have a Dual shock controller from when i originally had a ps2 and a mem card, so I wont be to deep in debt when i get started.. Also there is no way in hell I am missing the online basketball leagues, LOL
