How much do these boards ehance your gaming experience?

My answer is 7.

I know it sounds corny, but I really look forward to coming to these boards, finding out what other people are doing, accomplishing, unlocking in the game. Plus people are giving tips, etc. These boards and all the posts, whether good or bad, helped me decide to take a chance on ESPN (well, maybe playing the demo at EB Games helped a little too). I even enjoy reading the occasion little cat-fights in here about silly stuff.

But is it just me, or is posting on this board like add a whole extra deminsion to gaming? Like, i grew up playing Bases Loaded and Madden and Sega games on Nintendo and Genesis in the 80's. I remember what it was like to play all those single seasons and not have ANYONE to talk to about it (none of my other friends were into the sports agmes). Jsut image what this game would be like if there was no Internet.

I agree that the boards here at OS increase the fun factor for me atleast. Also, with so many guys here knowledgable in both gaming and sports or both, you can pick up a lot of tips and helpful information and find friends to play online. The mods, despite all of the bashing they recieve, do a pretty damn good job IMO, keeping things civil and weeding out trolls and people that show up just to flame. OS as a whole is definetly the best site on the net, and the only one that I regularly visit.

I agree it almost seems sometimes I am spending mor time here than playing the game! So a 9 b/c it pulls me away from the game to much!

Might I sugest instead of 1 to 10, using a percentage.
I'd say about a plus 200 percent.
-- Reading of possible bugs (especially in franchise - considering the hours put into a franchise), etc, learning new stuff, talking about the game, etc.
- When it's a good game like this one is, easily 200% increase.

- If it has killer franchise bugs to hear of in advance before wasting 20 to 50 hours into it, then learning ahead of time is about 400 percent.
- If the game just plain sucks, maybe 20 percent.

I guess an 8. To tell you the truth, I haven't been on this board too much lately. I've been busy with school and ESPN NFL Football. I don't have too much free time, but I still try to post on OS. But I'd rather play the game than post about it.
