Change of Possession Play Clock . . .

Sorry if this has already been mentioned. But on the change of possession (after a punt, etc.), it seems like the 25-second play clock is frozen at 25. I noticed this while playing online against a friend. He kiddingly pointed out that he had alot of time to pick his first play.

Something for VC to improve for next year.

no,.....after a change of possession, the clock does NOT start right away in real life....they take a TV time out. Its the same when you call a timeout, the clock does not run until your timeout is up (forget how many sec u get on a timeout).....

So it does the same thing as it does in real life.

If that is the case, I think it is pretty silly. Factoring in a TV time out in a video game....all it does is give someone extra time to pck a play. Granted it is like the real NFL....but guess what...I am yet to see a commercial while playing ESPN NFL Football. Fix the glitch....because that's what it is.

Great Game

uhhh, it's not a glitch, just something intentional that you may not like. It makes sense to have a little time between change of possessions, in my mind at least

ufsportsfan:

That is exactly my point. It seems like the play clock never moves from the 25 Second spot. The TV timeout reply is a good one, but for a videogame? I wonder if commercials is something they'll add to next year's game.

Re: Change of Possession Play Clock . . .

ok people....let's stop...and think.

You call a time out....think about what this means.....

I believe all timeouts in pro football are 30 second timesout. However....TV has decided that this is a good time for a TV timeout as well. When in reality....you only get 30 seconds.... Watch the clock after a timout in this. IT takes a while (15-20 sec?) and the nteh 25 sec clock starts running. Same with Turnovers.

IT IS NOT A GLITCH!!!

It's perfect...I was tired of taking timeout for having no play ready, and then scampbling wit hthe immeadiate 25 seconds that started to tick off to pick a new play.

There....issue solved
