Flat Route Passing

I'm having trouble passing to the flats, especially to my tightends. No matter what kind of pass, (lob, bullet, lead) the tightend or the back will dive for the ball and if they do catch it they are tackled immediately. Its annoying becuase most of the time they are all alone with no defenders around but their dives gives the D enough time to swarm them.

Are you using maximum passing?

Re: Flat Route Passing

Make sure your feet are set and the timing is proper...throwing off your back foot (which is the common problem for flat passes) will usually lead to an errant throw. Also, if you bullet the pass, it's harder to grab. Set your feet, give it a nice lob, and right AFTER you hit the button, move the stick about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way in the direction of the receiver. That should give you a nice, over-the-shoulder lob toward the sideline.

Re: Flat Route Passing

Thanks! I'll try that. The flat is the only route that has given me problems
