Ahhh QUESTION!

Ok, I just got the game, and one thing that REALLY annoys me is on kicks like field goals kickoffs PAT's etc. the arrow slowly moves from one side to the other. Is this suppose to happen???? Because I have two controllers and I've tried both but they still do the same thing.
