I know most people enjoy the announcing in this game, but to me, the play by play guy sounds like a character from the Simpsons. Did you ever see Halloween episode where Bart is all powerful and at one point turns Homer into a Jack in the Box? There is a scene earlier where Homer is watching football and ticks the boy off, all of a sudden you hear the announcer say something to the effect of "The kick is up, and the ball is turning into a big fat bald man" and Homer slams into the goalpost? Anyways, the Sega play by play guy always reminds me of that scene with his voice....Kind of a hybrid Ned Flanders/Seymour Skinner thing going on.

My only other comment on the announcing is that Spam in a Can comment on every fair catch is driving me crazy.

Otherwise, announcing is solid.

You know what, he does sound like that guy. You must of just seen that episode did'nt you.

Maybe it is him, he is a voice actor.

Well all I can say is it doesn't sound like death warmed over like some other game.

Good observation, you're right, they sound similar. I think Harry Shearer does a lot of those incidental voices, especially the announcer ones like the morning zoo radio guys.

Well, if the guy on the Simpsons is Terry McGovern, then yes, it is Dan Stevens.

Also, just so you guys also know, Peter O' Keefe is Jay Stynes, if you're trying to find out if he's from something else also... so yeah.
