Range of Motion in the game...

I think the one thing in this game that needs to be improved in this game is the range of motion. It seems to me like, even when using the analog stick, that you only have limited directions that you can run. What I mean is, you can only run up, down, left, right, or at a 45 degree angle. Whereas in NCAA Football it seems like you can move at any angle. Is this the case or am I crazy?

I think if this was changed that it would solve a lot of the defensive and pursuit problems in the game. For instance sometimes I break runs down the sideline and the computer misses me because he get close but is unable to move at the correct angle to make the tackle. It would also make the game more fluid overall.

yep ...32-directional movement (vs the current 8) is in the wishlist here at opsports and just about evey espn2k5 wishlist I've seen. lol! Pay attention, VC.

The game still rocks though and the feedback its gotten this year is incredible. Based on VC's past efforts and the way they listen to and address the fans' concerns....

I think you better reserve your copy of ESPN NFL Football Nfl2k5 right NOW!!!

Totally agreed. Fortunately its pretty much my only complaint, annoying as it is. It isnt quite as obvious to me on slow speed which is where my old reflexes have sentenced me to playing in.

Re: Range of Motion in the game...

Even if not for the improtant fact to improve tackling, the game NEEDS more fluid range and analog movement simply for the pure video game enjoyment aspect. Video games should have smooth , fluid transistional movement.....this is one of the reasons NCAA Football ...and even Nintendo Mario style games are so addictingly fun....It's all about fluidity.

32 would be a lot better than 8. the game feels really smooth but that would make the running game look much better and help you on defense at the same time.
