Why doesn't my team listen to me? (simming dynasty)

I figured this season in my Steeler dynasty, which I was simming, that I would gear up for a year of running the football. I made some trades and pulled in a 96 rated halfback, a fullback with 87 run block, and a whole slew of good, young, run-blocking linemen. I also got the number one overall draft pick and selected a quarterback because I figured I'd need it, he ended up a 79 rating.

So I get to the coach's gameplan for week one, I have my depth chart set exactly the way I wanted it. My gameplan was set around the run offense(I know about the slider going the opposite way of what you would think. If u want to run, go toward pass, if u want to pass, go toward run... the side that u want to do should have more color[red, gray])I watch NFL Primetime so I can see my stats real quick, and I see that my quarterback attempted 41 passes while my starting halfback got the ball 21 times. So I figure, no biggie, maybe I needed to pass to win. So I keep my run-pass ratio the same for next week and I watch primetime... once again, coincidentally, my quarterback passes 41 times again, but this time my starting back gets 19 carries. I go through the season experimenting with the sliders and nothing works. At the end of the year, my quarterback has attempted almost exactly twice as many passes as my half back got run attempts.

Something seems wrong, no? Help, please. Thanks.

On offense I believe the slider goes in the other direction (not the opposite way like you were told), this is just for offense. So if your slider is:

Run/Pass

Move it to the right to run more

Thanks. That's kind of odd. I wonder why offense and defense have 2 different ways to adjust.

And is it the same for the other offensive ones like Run:inside/outside and Passeep/short.

after re-reading your post, it looks like you were doing it the right way. Move the slider towards Pass to run more. Damn things are confusing. I would just try the opposite of what you have now for the run/pass slider and see what happens.

Top one is more Run
Bottome one is more Pass.

man, all this time I thought the closer you were to the run side meant the more you were geared toward running.

now after you make all of your settings (which I do before every game)...what does it help? do your players play better?

It is supposed to be what your players work on in practice for the week. I change mine every game depending on who I play. If I play Miami, I would put my defense more towards the Run. I don'[t move mine drastically though, maybe 5 clicks at the most.
