Tell us what defensive plays you use we will tell you how we exploit it. We will also tell you what your favorite sets are good against. Also tell us what passes are killing you.

Re: HELP... How in the hell do you defend the pass?

I is a great thread but then becomes a broken tackles/run topowerful/All Pro vs Legend thing. No specifics. Anyway I was thinking about slants I'm talking pure slant not quick ones, the ones in which the receiver runs at an angle off scrimmage not the short up then in thing. I use it and torch many. Reason is I watch the Linebackers, usually when they play man to man they got straight towards the backs & tight ends leaving the area they occupied empty for a dump pass or a WideOut slant. Against slants have the LB's do zone in which they go towards the slot areas.

Use a zone there one where the cb's but the wr's and then they sit on the deep corner. Once your opponent passes take control of a cb and tip or pick the ball off. They'll stop tring when you pick off 3 or 4 passes

Use the Nickel or Dime package, switch over to the guy guarding the ball at the last second, and do what Tom Jackson's famous quote says........

KNOCK IT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom Jackson's most famous quote is "RUN THE FOOTBALL!!!!" but I remember the knock it down one as well.

oh and on defense, take advantage of the DB adjustments and if you're going to blitz make sure you're in bump and run coverage. The QB will throw into the dirt if you get pressure
