vikings screwed again

okay i just simulated a season just to see if the panthers and patriots would meet in the super bowl. patriots missed the playoffs but the panthers didnt. sad thing was their record was 3-13. and they were tied for the nfc worst record

the nfc playoffs were supposed to have:
49ers (won conference) 14-2
bucs (div) 13-3
packers (div) 12-4
cowboys (div) 10-6
saints (wildcard) 10-6
vikings (wildcard) 9-7 but replaced by panthers 3-13

anyone else seen a glitch like this

yeah...sega's sim engine isn't very good

i loaded the panthers with some players off my team...they NEVER made the playoffs after those trades

and in the baseball game.....the TWINS always win the central

The Twins did win the central and probably would of 99 out of 100 seasons against the competitiion they had last year.

That would mean it is a pretty good sim engine. Plus Carolina wasn't expected to be much better than 3-13 this year. All you have to do is edit the rosters a little bit.

I think what he is talking about is not how the Panthers did in his season, but how they (with a 3-13 record, not winning their division) made the playoffs over the Minnesota Vikings (with a 9-7, wild-card record).

In any case, this is the first I have ever seen of this in any football game, much less ESPN. I also doubt it has happened to anyone else. It most likely won't happen if you try simulating again.

Whatdaya mean we weren't expected to be any better than 3-13? We went 1-15 then turned it around and went 7-9. How can go from an up season of 7-9 to 3-13?

Well Buffalo went from 8-8 in 2002 to 6 - 10 this year!!
May in his sim the Panthers had key injuries and may the Bucs didn't

You guys are all still missing the original intent of CHWildcats. He is complaining about a potential game glitch; NOT how his simulated season turned out compared to the real NFL season.

Again, Wildcats, simply starting over should fix the problem as this was probably a random one-time glitch that I have never noticed in ESPN or any other sports title with a complete season mode since NFL Quarterback Club that I've played. If the problem persists, get a new copy of the game; they shouldn't cost too much with the NFL season drawing to a close.
