time for a price drop???

personally, i think sega/vc should drop the espn football price to $39.00 or less soon. due to the painfully absent advertising, this could and should get more people to try the game. espn baseball is starting at $39.99 and that is very wise. the baseball market is crowded with quality choices and this price drop pushed me segas way. i was leaning toward ASB or MLB but i really enjoyed WSB last year so it will get the first nod.

while there isnt quite the competition in the video game football world, madden might as well be like 3 other game competitors. it dominates sales. it is a quality title and has a loyal fan base that needs incentive to change. the right price might just get them to try.

yes, i know there are some lemmings would buy madden if the only change next year was "now madden has blue hair", but there are a lot that are willing to try new games. just not at $50 a pop. at the same price you go with what you are familiar with. period. at $29 or $39 you take the chance.that sealed my choice on baseball. if espn was at $50 i was going with ASB or MLB who are pricing at $39. i will get espn baseball now and may eventually rent the other titles.

I agree. I think it should drop to $29.99. That way more people go that way. $10 isn't much, but $20 is another story. I'd rather save $20 than $10.

I think they should lower the price as soon as EA drops the price of Madden.

that may be true, but they are everywhere with ads/signs at actual games, on web sites that feature video games or sports news and that is why madden is number one in sales and some people haven't even heard of espn football.
