Best Way To Defend Pass one on one, man to man

I just started playing my brother in 2 Player mode (All Pro) and got consistently beaten in one on one coverage even though most of the time my corner had a 85-79 CB/WR player rating edge. I stopped him cold with some zones and a manual double coverage. What's the best way to stop a receiver one on one, man to man?

We play with various matchups. This happened to be Eddie Kennison versus a modified Rashad Bauman, whose coverage rating is 85, speed 94, agility 90, consistency 77, and overall 85.

depending on what your brother uses for offensive plays check to see if he uses slants. If so try to shift your db inside or outside depending on his slants. But 2k4's gameplay allows for the recievers to catch a ton of balls so it's hard to really stop someone.

I play a lot of bump & run...It disrupts the timing for the short routes & if you have safties with good speed they can usually recover on the deep routes. Mix it up though. learn the teams tendencies. PRESSURE THE QB. I almost always rush the QB until the ball is in the air. Then I switch at the last minute to make a play on the ball...

Hope this helps.
