The lack of momentum gives pinpiont control, and VC has made the CHOICE of control over realism. Its time to change.

BS it's time to change. If I wanted Madden momentum I'd play Madden. As you've pointed out, I'm one of the NFL2k fans that will take control over Madden physics any day of the week.

Yeah right. No one said make it like Madden, I said they need to implement momentum better. They've already started doing it. Betcha' didn't complain when VC began adding it last year did you? If they do it correctly, the die-hard "MOMENTUM? WE-DON'T-NEED-NO-STINKING-MOMENTUM!" crowd will be the main evangelists preaching about how awesome it is.

Stop being so afraid of change, you sound JUST like a Madden fan.

I think he was really applying that he doesn't want VC to add "momentum" on the level of EA's Madden! XBOX_Roughneck is a guy who really looks for realism in his sports games and i remember him preaching on how well Fever implemented "momentum" into their title....I think yal had a little bit of a misunderstanding. Trust me! I do not want VC to take momentum to the level of Madden football! YUCK

Then he and I are definitely on the same page. Fever had PERFECT momentum, IMO. Sluggish direction changes, but much better acceleration than Madden...

I agree about Fever's display of momentum. I also thought that the newest GameDay(Yes that GameDay! ) did a good job of portraying momentum without going to extremes.

Re: The Running Animations

From the teaser video at ESPN Videogames, you can see that ESPN 2005 will feature some of the best momemtum EVER.

At the beginning you can see T.O. sprinting across the field(and note that he's not all UPRIGHT!).

Before he turns upfield, notice how not only does he plant his foot, but he takes several baby-stutter-steps in order to slow down first. The only place I've ever seen this in a videogame is when a player scores a touchdown and an animation takes over as soon as the player crosses the goalline. On field, this little addition is KILLER!

I think players should move their feet faster. It looks like they are jogging.
