What makes ESPN better than Madden???

I'm a converted Madden gamer who's getting ESPN this year and I was wondering what you guys think are some of the features both gameplay and franchise mode wise that make it better than Madden?

Well i only care about gameplay so from that aspect i will tell you the running game is simply better. Its not hard to run in madden but ESPN just does running/o-line blocking better than Madden.

Re: What makes ESPN better than Madden???

I personally like how the players are bigger. Also the replays are more enjoyable to watch to me. Ill never forget the play when I took boller, had him scramble to get the first down, he dives toward the sidelines and Urlacher jumps and meets him mid air for a lil helment to helmet collision. Boller fumbles midair but its all good the ball falls to the ground rolls about 6 inches foward and out of bounds, barely securing the first down!!! Ive had that replay saved and musta watched it a good 30 times.

Re: What makes ESPN better than Madden???

This shouldn't be a debate...this is the ESPN FORUM. Madden gamers have their own forum, get my drift?

As for me, I simply loved the dynamic animations, what REALLY annoying me in Madden was diving at a ball carrier just after another player on my team started to tackle him, leaving me sliding off the ball carrier like I didn't touch him. Not only did it look crappy, but if the ball carrier was going through a break tackle animation at the time, he would run for more yards. In ESPN, my late tackle is treated like a 250lb linebacker is actually coming in for the assist, not like a feather floating in the drift. By the sounds and looks of it, 2K5 will be even better in this regard, and it is simply a feature I can't live without now.

ESPN has that "3D" feel to it that Madden doesn't have. THe "charge" button on D and O and the Maximum Passing feature are better than ever on 2K4.

I don't think its about what makes it better, its just about what you like and there both differnt style games.
