Klue516- WOW I dissagree with you, from the last few years I think that the Player progression in ESPNfootball has sucked. I love the game but SEGA needs to work On the PP a little better and at the same time make sure there are no Stat bugs this year, Im sick of one of the stats being messed up. Like last year, remember the LB always having like 16/18 tackels a game, plus you never seen your DE/DT stats for tackels or sacks in the leauge leaders board last year, only LB. They need to make sure this does not happen this year, thats been a problem for SEGA/VC the last few years things like this being messed up.

The player Progression in NFL2k3 SUCKED MONKEY NUTZ but ESPN2k4 provided good progression...As far as sim stats go...well thats a whole other issue that VC needs to correct...I agree with you playa

Re: espn 2k5...player progression

Last year's player progression was VERY good... notrhing wrong with it, and i dont see how it could be better, if done automatically like it was. Only downside is it was a bit previsible.. you knew exactly when you had to trade your players and who you should hire.

Now if they implement correctly what they said for this year, it will be even better, because u will be able to direct it the way you want it through preparation and training, this is closer to real life.. i think this is more than i could have asked for... tip my hat for them... coz now you will be able to really use some players for special team situations.. it will add another dimention to bench importance imo.

I don't think you can allocate the points yourself. Or atleast this is what I'm hoping. I don't want to know before games that this guy WILL be better and at this particular skill.

If it's like this there's not gonna be any kind of emerging or anything cause you already know how good everyone is going to be.

I think the big issues is....will the CPU take advantage of the new training/progression system?

Wow...didn't think of that. It would be bad-*** if they do, though. After all, if you can gear up your players for important matchups, why couldn't other teams do the same for you? Oh man...now I hope that they didn't forget to let other teams do it to...

Yeah, if the cpu can't use it, then it's a rather dumb feature. So, you can boost up your guys, meanwhile the cpu has to play you with stock ratings. I hope Sega has the foresight to see that this would suck.
